The Grad Summit at the Ramada Inn was a fantastic event. Graduate students came from 7 difference universities and professional schools around the State of Indiana. This year we will be in the Adam's Mark Hotel in Indianapolis!

Last year was the first ever Statewide inter-University retreat like this, geared for graduate and professional students. It is the first we know has happened in Indiana going back over 16 years.
We prayed together based on where we found ourselves within our graduate school programs from not yet in the department to prelims and qualifiers to comprehensive exams, (ABDs) all but dissertation, defending, post doc, teaching, and much that is inbetween. We viewed video highlights from the 'Following Christ' conference in Atlanta, including the presentation by Miroslav Volf and Dean Trulear. We prayed in small groups by near-academic departments and discussed areas of ministry concern to our colleagues and the dominant ideas in our fields of study. But we did so as 'insiders' who love our fields of study and the university. Below are some of the grad students who attended Grad Summit 2003
At the Grad Summit, one day-conference we saw DVDs of young professionals after graduate and professional school making a difference in their professions by the quality of their work and service, thinking and living, and submission to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
One very popular paper that generated much discussion, prayer, and identification was put together by Bob Trube with GFM at Ohio State University. I did some tweaking of the paper with Bob's permission, and we include a link to the paper herein briefly called the Grad Faculty Spiritual Formation Timeline.
